The lesson starts with a warm-up. Students read a short text about three people who came late for work and make up excuses for why. Students discuss these people and share what they would do in the same situation. After that, teachers can use a lead-in to the next activity and ask students if people are always the same or if they change depending on the situation. Then, students complete the sentences with personality adjectives. The sentences are about people who sometimes have different personalities. Students also think about situations in which they behave differently (e.g. when they are talkative/quiet, people who they are polite/rude to, etc.).
